The club was established in 1969 and engages in many leagues across the region, featuring male, female, and mixed competitors during the summer months of April to September. Internal

competitions and friendly games are also held regularly at weekends.

Sessions and games are held at the club’s base, which can be found at the junction of Cunningham Drive and Bridgemary Avenue (inside the park). It is easily accessible for vehicles travelling down the A32, with buses also available in the area for non-drivers.

Experienced and beginner bowlers are welcome to join the club, who have a memberships fee of £80 per annum. Funds will pay towards the bowling green last re-laid in summer 2021 and other fees as the committee hope to maintain its popularity with members / visitors from local areas.

The club is also offering tuition for new players through experienced coaches, hoping to build on New Years Resolutions to try something new in 2022. All equipment is provided and flat shoes need to be worn when bowling, which normally starts at 2pm unless otherwise stated.

And the club has a good social network that can help all members; having a licenced bar to allow people to have drinks and meet-ups after games or competitions. During the closed winter months the club offers social events such as darts, race and cribbage evenings for all.
