Council announces free business support morning

By Connor Steel

FAREHAM BOROUGH COUNCIL have invited local residents and businesses together for a “free support” occasion to be held later this month; which is set to be held at the Innovation Centre and has been organised as part of an ongoing commitment to improving knowledge for small companies across this borough as well as people interested in business.

This event is planned to be from 9:30am until 11:30am on December 17 (Tuesday) with the first thirty minutes featuring check-ins, early networking, and breakfast. This will be followed by a special presentation from Hampshire Growth Hub (plus Q&As), who have been invited by councillors to speak about the government funded support available for people.

Once their presentation is concluded at approximately 10:30am, each attendee is invited to participate in a ‘tour’ of this Innovation Centre and learn about the facilities that can be used to help businesses. There is then the chance for more networking with other professionals, and a selection of fresh baked goods are to be complimentary during the morning.

Councillor Simon Martin, said: “I am delighted that the Hampshire Growth Hub are coming to provide business support. I encourage businesses to attend and benefit from the expertise, as well as to see all the fabulous facilities at Fareham Innovation Centre. The event is free and so is the business support so together we can help Fareham business thrive.”

Spaces are limited for this event and readers are encouraged to register using this Eventbrite link, which will then send a message confirming event tickets. More information on Fareham businesses and support may further be seen online.
