FAREHAM TOWN FC have readjusted season ticket prices for their upcoming 2021-22 campaign, with a fiver off for supporters after surprise funding avenues became reality over recent weeks. Following a meeting at Cams Alders the club posted this positive news on their website late last week, which was gratefully received by fans struggling after the coronavirus pandemic.
The first breakthrough for the Creeksiders concerns the Venue, an entertainment and hospitality area attached to the front entrance of Cams Alders Stadium. Fareham FC have secured 100% control over these facilities compared to sharing any profits, meaning more funds are available from their home matches as well as its tea bar on the concourse.
Secondly the club have seen a rise in willing sponsors for the new campaign such as J Finnegan Plumbing Services and Skilled Labour Services Southern Ltd amongst others, with many sponsorship packages available including matchday and permanent boards around the ground. Programme and player sponsors have also risen, all of which have boosted the clubs financial ability and this has now trickled down to the fans.
Adult tickets including the cut-price rate will now cost £45, with concessions and seniors now priced at just £25 overall. A junior / child’s pass for the season is £25 per person, with individual match tickets following the same structure as 2020-21 (£6 adults, £3 concessions).
For those that have already purchased Season Tickets for the 2021/22 season before this announcement, the club have expressed their willingness to refund the differences between the price paid, and the new subsidised cost. Alternatively, they can convert the difference paid into alternative sponsorship opportunities to further assist the club as it recovers from two restricted seasons of null & void league finishes.
The club have been overwhelmed with support following this gesture, which is aimed at thanking the supporters who helped Fareham Town in the lockdown and their patience during uncertain times. It is also hoped that this move can boost attendances, which was growing before lockdown struck in November last year. Fans will be able to watch 19 games at least for their tickets, with cups and away game needing separate ticket prices.
This begins with Fareham’s first game of the Wessex League Campaign, which will see the Creeksiders host Baffins Milton Rovers on Tuesday, August 3 with a 7.45pm kick off. All other provisional fixtures can be seen on the club’s fixture tab on their website, but all games are subject to change after meetings later this month. But Fareham will open their pre-season campaign away at Colden Common this weekend, with new signings likely to play their debuts.
It has also been confirmed the Creeksiders will enter a later round of the FA Vase following their exploits earlier this year, reaching the fourth round before losing 5-2 against Plymouth Parkway in April. Entry will therefore occur at the second-round proper, although this is yet to be confirmed. The FA Cup draws are scheduled to take place this Friday of the first two qualifying rounds, with Fareham one of nearly 600 clubs to learn their fate.
