Facebook page now online

LAST Wednesday saw our readers and staff deprived of a vital communication method as the Globe’s Facebook page was taken offline – along with its amazing following of 1,000+ residents following a technical issue that happened without any warning or our consent.

But following hard work late last week by directors Kevin Richards and Connor Steel, we can confirm the Globe has a new Facebook page that was launched early on Friday morning after final artwork was put into place by our graphic designer. The link for this is: https://www.facebook.com/GosportAndFarehamGlobe.

The Globe now invites our readers to help boost our social media followers by sharing, liking or following this brand new page, which will work in tandem with our website, Twitter and Instagram pages set up in May 2021. Links to new features and news will be shared regularly across all platforms.

Finally our readers may notice a subtle change to the Globe logo and this will be updated on our website this week. This work was done with support from all directors and a new masthead should follow after exporting issues, but we hope that readers appreciate this subtle branding change.

The delayed next step in our development will be the ‘Friends of the Globe’ scheme, with more information available soon.
