Hit-and-run driver breaks cyclist’s ankle

A CYCLIST has been left with a broken ankle after an early morning hit-and-run collision in Gosport.

According to Hampshire Constabulary, at about 2.25am on Saturday, July 31, a cyclist was riding along Military Road, just north of the Cocked Hat public house, when he was in collision with a dark coloured vehicle.

The vehicle did not stop, and left the scene. The cyclist, a 21-year-old man, suffered a broken ankle.

PC Nick Gard, said: “I am appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision or anyone who was driving in the area around the time, who may have seen the vehicle, or may have dash cam footage in their vehicle, to come forward.
