Leesland Park to host fun festival

THE FRIENDS of Leesland Park are delighted to announce a return of their popular ‘Parkfest’ event for Gosport and Fareham residents, which is set to be held on Saturday, September 18 following last year’s cancellation due to Covid-19 restrictions.

It will be part of a busy month of Gosport-based events, including the Lee V-Day Festival in two weeks time and the Heritage Open Days openings.

Organisers have created a great afternoon of activities suitable for every age and person. This includes live music for the duration, which will feature a workshop from Big Noise Samba Band providing atmosphere to the festival. The ever-popular dog show will also be held between 1pm and 2pm, with more information given in the posters.

Other activities include storytelling, inflatables and go-karts for the children to enjoy, while there is to be a real ale bar for the adults. Stalls selling a variety of products will also be available, with food and drink available at regular intervals including a burger van and crepe stall. Visitors are also invited to bring a picnic and their own food to help enjoy the entertainment provided.

Leesland Park will be the place to enjoy a Saturday afternoon, with the fun starting at 1pm and continuing until 10pm. Entry is free for everybody and organisers are hoping for a huge turnout following the 2020 cancellation, as well as an increase in visitors to Gosport as the Heritage Days project reaches its conclusion.
