FAREHAM TOWN FC have been busy preparing for the new 2021-22 campaign this week as they announced their pre-season match schedule, signed existing players to fresh contacts, and finally returned to training with their first session held.
But the club have also launched a plea for help for volunteers to assist on matchdays for the new season, with information on their club website and social media platforms.
The Creeksiders are looking for additional volunteers to assist with many matchday related duties, both for midweek and weekend games, to start in mid-July. Positions include stewards, gatemen, merchandise sellers and general helpers as the club aim to improve the whole ‘matchday experience’ to make Cams Alders ‘the place to be on a Saturday afternoon’. Any potential volunteers should contact firstname.lastname@example.org to register their interest, whilst also receiving further information.
It is hoped that all new volunteers will be able to help Fareham as they host three pre-season friendlies in mid-July before their league opener against Baffins Milton Rovers on Tuesday, August 3. Cams Alders will see visits from Littlehampton Town (July 17), Royal Navy (July 20) and Salisbury City (July 24) over a seven day period, with fans from all teams available to attend the matches pending coronavirus guidelines. Two away trips to Southampton based Colden Common (July 10) and Folland Sports FC (July 27) complete the pre-season schedule for now, with officials wanting one more game to be organised for July 31.
