Police investigate multiple Gosport arson incidents

HAMPSHIRE CONSTABULARY have announced they have launched an “urgent” appeal for witnesses and information to help their ongoing investigation following three separate arson incidents in a small area of Gosport; which took place during the early hours of Wednesday morning (June 12) as detectives investigate the potential link between these fires.

One property in Redhouse Park Gardens suffered damages as garden furniture was set alight outside it, whilst another address saw rear fencing and the shed badly affected by flames in a second incident. Two sheds / fencing were further targeted to the rear of a property in Turner Avenue which sadly destroyed the contents located within both of the sheds.

Detectives are treating all these three incidents as arson and believed they are linked together; although they remain in the early stages of their investigations; which includes conducting enquiries in the areas affected. They are keen to talk to anyone who may have doorbell / CCTV footage that may assist, as well as those who has seen suspicious activities.

Investigators are asking for anybody with information or footage to contact police by calling the non-emergency number 101 and quote the case’s reference number of 44240246222. They can further submit details using the online reporting tool available on the Hampshire Police website, with all official support and further guidance available on the links here.

Alternatively, readers can contact the “independent charity” Crimestoppers 100% anonymously by calling 0800 555 111 for absolutely free; or via their anonymous online forms which can be found through their website: https://orlo.uk/250kR
