Ramos re-joins Gosport for new 2025-26 season

GOSPORT BOROUGH FC have announced that they have signed striker Rafa Ramos to a ‘deal’ that will see him stay at the AEI Stadium for the upcoming 2025-26 campaign; the twenty-nine year old returning back to the club and hopes to boost their strike-force after a year’s hiatus in which he played for three different teams across southern non-league.
The news was confirmed via Borough’s social media / website and was immediately welcomed by the supporters, who have fond memories of the player’s previous stint in 2023-24. He netted many crucial goals in the team’s play-off push with the winner against Merthyr and hat-trick versus Didcot in March, whilst he scored a ‘cracker’ at home to Chesham.
Last season proved different for Ramos as he featured with Salisbury in the “Vanarama National League South” before signing at Poole Town after struggling for the minutes at the Ray Mac Stadium. In March he decided to join Hungerford and played his part in the final weeks; where he helped this side to seventh in the table ahead of Gosport down in 12th.
Prior to joining Gosport in 2023-24 the attacker has played for many clubs across the non-league pyramid; including at AFC Portchester, Bashley and Hamworthy United. He has been widely praised for his strength, power, and pace in the attacking third; whilst he had shown his ever ‘positive relationships’ with fans of each team as seen at the AEI Stadium.
Ramos is set to link up alongside former teammates Danny Hollands, Dan Wooden, Charlie Gunson and Finley Walsh Smith; who have all signed new contracts until the end of next season. Fans can read individual comments from every player on the official club website which is regularly updated and will feature all league fixtures when they are released.
