Tree brought down by high winds in Rowner

THE wind and rain battering the South Coast have left their mark on Gosport.
And The Globe’s Kevin Richards was braving the elements on Friday afternoon when he captured an unfolding drama with his mobile phone camera.
A tree on open land just behind a house in Carless Close, Rowner, was brought down, crashing through the rear garden fence and narrowly missing the property itself.
The occupier was not at home when the tree was uprooted. A neighbour told The Globe that no one had been injured and they were waiting for a tree surgeon to come and remove the debris.
