Veteran Scott puts new spin on charity fundraising

By Helen Rutherford

LOCAL Royal Marines veteran Major (Retd) Scott Ashley MBE will be raising money for the charity Progress Through Scuba Diving,  and raising awareness of PTSD,  #PTSDAWARENESS, by holding 24 hours of spinning classes from October 15-16.

What is spinning?  It is exercise on a bike that goes nowhere!  Come and have a go for a small fee at Fitness 24 on the Oaklands Business Park, Aerodrome Road, Gosport, from 12 noon Friday, October 15, finishing 12pm Saturday, October 16. You don’t have to be a member of the gym and you can sign in for a class to any one of the 24 one-hour sessions.  Parking is available and proceeds go to the charity.  Give them a call to book a session on 01329 281963.

If your knees (like mine) won’t stand up to a fitness ride but you’d still like to contribute, follow the link to the just giving page which will tell you more about what the charity is trying to do.
