Witnesses sought after burglary of Whiteley address
HAMPSHIRE CONSTABULARY have announced they have launched an “urgent” appeal for witnesses and information to assist their continuing investigations following an incident that occurred in Whiteley last weekend; which sadly saw a variety of possessions stolen from an address between the hours of 11am on Saturday (23/11) and 7:30pm on Sunday.
Officers were called to a property on Saffron Way during the evening of November 24 (Sunday) to reports of a burglary, which they suspect took place in the timeframe above. Multiple items are reported taken including necklaces, rings and earrings alongside an unknown amount of cash according to a statement, with police carrying out preliminary enquires.
Detectives believe there could be many potential witnesses to this burglary given the wider timeframes and have asked people to contact them if they have information / noticed any suspicious activities. This includes neighbours and drivers who could have used the area over last weekend; in particular those who may have CCTV, doorbell, or dashcam video.
Investigators are urging anybody with potential information to contact the police by calling their non-emergency number 101 and quote the case’s reference number of 44240512160. They can further submit details using the online reporting tool available on the Hampshire Police website, with all official support and further guidance available on the links here.
Alternatively, readers can contact the “independent charity” Crimestoppers 100% anonymously by calling 0800 555 111 for absolutely free; or via their anonymous online forms which can be found through their website: https://orlo.uk/250kR
