Witnesses sought after Gosport altercation report

HAMPSHIRE CONSTABULARY have announced they have launched an “urgent” appeal for witnesses and information to assist their continuing investigations following an incident that happened on a key route of Gosport last month; which saw two unidentified men involved in a heated altercation that further became aggressive close to St Vincent’s College.

This incident was later reported to officers and is believed to have taken place at approximately 8:45pm on January 29 (Wednesday) along Mill Lane; both of the men leaving this scene with no ‘serious injuries’. One was aged in his thirties and the other was said to be within the sixties; whilst he was walking a Jack Russell dog that had a flashing blue collar.

Early enquiries are ongoing into the exact circumstances of the incident and officers are keen to speak with both males about these events, as well as all witnesses and anyone with any potential details. This includes people who may have CCTV from their property or related video footage from those walking / driving in the ‘surrounding area’ on Wednesday.

Investigators are urging anybody with potential information to contact the police by calling their non-emergency number 101 and quote the case’s reference number of 44250043632. They can further submit details using the online reporting tool available on the Hampshire Police website, with all official support and further guidance available on the links here.
