Witnesses sought following fatal Gosport collision

HAMPSHIRE CONSTABULARY have announced they have launched an ‘urgent’ appeal for witnesses and information to assist their continuing investigations following a fatal road traffic incident that occurred in Gosport early on last week; which saw an eighty-seven year old woman tragically suffer life-ending injuries after her car collided on a busy junction.

Emergency services were called to the scene at approximately 11:28am on May 5 (Monday) after the reports of a ‘grey’ Kia Picanto colliding on the junction for Grange Road and Hunter Close. Members of the public assisted with the South Central Ambulance Service to treat this driver, who was sadly pronounced dead at the scene despite their valiant effort.

Detectives were keen to thank everyone for their patience shown in this aftermath due to the nearby road closures and offered their full gratitudes to those who were quickly at the scene to help before emergency services arrived. They are hopeful of speaking with anyone who can help their enquires including those who saw this collision or have a dashcam.
