HMS Collingwood confirm 2026 open day information

By Marie Arnott

HMS COLLINGWOOD have announced that early bird tickets are now on sale for their 2026 open day event that is scheduled to take place on July 4 (Saturday) at the Fareham based training establishment, where thousands of people are expected to attend the annual occasion as it continues to grow in popularity and reputation.

This unique family event will again showcase the Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity (RNRMC) Field Gun Competition alongside attractions, entertainment and displays designed to capture the imagination of everyone. It further hopes to provide an honest insight into HMS Collingwood, Defence Training, the Royal Navy and other Armed / Public Forces throughout the day.

There will be Interactive Zones for hands-on activities and parts of the establishment will be open to visitors; which will allow them to see the Royal Navy’s training equipment and experience some training firsthand. Visitors will also have the opportunity to try the tough task of navigating a ship into harbour using the unique Warship Bridge Simulator.

The 2026 RNRMC Field Gun Competition will yet again see a range of crews from across the UK and beyond; who will be competing for the coveted Brickwoods Trophy with 2025 winners REME hoping to retain their title. There will be a military village alongside fairground rides including the dodgems and inflatable attractions, whilst the children’s area will see a petting zoo and much more for no extra costs.

The gates will open from 9:30am with a free bus service set to run from Gosport and Fareham in both directions, as has proven successful in previous years. Once the entrance fee is paid all entertainment and attractions are then free of charge, including the fairground rides. Ticket details including extra bird prices are available via https://royalnavy.ticketsrv.co.uk, but readers must be aware that these are available for a limited time only.
