CCTV image released in racial public order enquires

HAMPSHIRE CONSTABULARY have announced they have released CCTV imagery of a man they wish to speak with regarding a reported ‘racially aggravated public order offence’ that occurred during last month; which is currently being investigated by police officers and is said to have involved two males travelling by bus on their early morning commute.

The incident happened during the period from 7:30am to 7:40am on June 18 (Wednesday) upon the ‘First Bus’ service going between Fareham and Whiteley (number 28). It is reported a man was racially abused by a second man and the police are looking to speak with the alleged victim; this offence being reported by the fellow passengers on the journey.

They are further keen to identify the male seen in this linked CCTV image, who is described as being white and having a medium build with short blonde hair / short beard. He is believed to be aged between thirty and forty years old with a rucksack on his back whilst he was wearing ‘high visibility’ clothing on the morning of the incident as seen in the image.

Investigators are urging anybody with potential information to contact the police by calling their non-emergency number 101 and quote the case’s reference number of 44250267615.
