Easter Bunny makes special visit to HMS Sultan

By Matthew Hibberd

HMS SULTAN received a special and uniquely early visit from the Easter Bunny as the training establishment held a Children’s Easter Party recently, which was organised to thank and support all families of those on-site for their continuing service.

This themed event was organised by the Warrant Officer and Senior Rates Mess following a similar occasion held last year; the 2024 edition attended by approximately one hundred young children.  They were able to enjoy a selection of activities throughout the afternoon, which included inflatables, an Easter Egg hunt, music, an Easter Basket competition, lamb petting and arts / crafts.

But the highlight was a visit from the Easter Bunny (Base Warrant Officer, Warrant Officer 1 Daniel Bouncy Castle); who delighted the young children by hand-delivering chocolate based treats for all of them to enjoy. He further posed for a selection of photographs with the children and spoke to families who were in attendance on the day.

Bouncy stated afterwards: “The event has been a ‘cracking’ success, brining lots of excitement and smiles to the children and their families in attendance. Families play an important role in support of all of our personnel and events like this provide us with a great opportunity to give something back.”
