Investigators explore paranormal activities at Fort

By Tony Ferguson

FORT FAREHAM was first built from 1861 to 1868 and was used as a vital source of defence throughout a period of heightened military tension during the nineteenth century. It has been a Grade II Listed Building for fifty years and has been a popular place for those interested in paranormal activities; due to its location near Longfield Avenue / Newgate Lane and the history within this site.

Many personal visits have been carried out including recently with Jon and Lindsay from Exploring the Afterlife alongside Simon from GS Exploring with Ghosts. Debbie and Emily from Ghost2Ghost Paranormal Investigations completed the group in a late night trip.

The recent visit to the Fort saw an object thrown at Emily and this was captured on camera; a previous investigation seeing a similar scenario involving Jon. The group attempted to find a source for this and there was a door handle on the floor, which made a similar sound and this was deemed as a worthy explanation for this.

Whilst investigating with Debbie and Emily, the latter had what sounded like a stone thrown next to them and this really spooked her due to the unexpected nature of this happened. Many disembodied voices on camera were also heard as per previous investigations and these were heard by everybody in the group; which has happened in previous investigations and couldn’t be explained.

More investigations will be made to build a story as it is sometimes essential to complete in order to document more evidence.
