Lee Players to showcase talents in new production
LOCAL RESIDENTS have been encouraged not to miss an exciting future production from the Lee Players; which will take place over two evenings in late November following a brilliant set of popular performances by the group across this area recently.
The new production is a black comedy entitled “Caramba’s Revenge Revenge” by William Norfolk and two performances will be held at the Crofton Hall Theatre (Crofton Community Centre); the first being held on November 22 (Friday) and the second scheduled twenty-four hours later.
A blurb of the performance reads: “Four elderly ladies have been sharing their lives in Violet’s rented house, pooling their pensions and sharing chores. After a mugging Violet dies, but needing to hold onto her pension book (not to forget the house’s rent book) Marge the cook, Lottie the writer, and Doris the alcoholic, omit to inform the authorities and leave Violet’s body peacefully in the cemetery. To complicate matters Ronnie, Violet’s granddaughter, arrives from Australia in search of her relative.”
Tickets are priced at £10 each and are available to purchase from the box office by calling 01329 662128 or visiting Crofton Community Centre; whilst people can also buy from the door on both nights. The full address is: Crofton Hall Theatre, Crofton Community Centre, Stubbington, PO14 2PP.
