Pantomime sisters nominated for big annual award

By Connor Steel

FAREHAM LIVE were celebrating earlier this week as it was announced that two star performers have been nominated as part of the ‘2025 Pantomime Awards’ following its hugely successful inaugural season in December / January; which was enjoyed by thousands of people across its three week period and helped raise the wider status of the local theatre.

Gareth Mitchell and Garnon Davies have both been nominated for their fine portrayal of Cinderella’s Ugly Sisters in the awards; which are run annually by the UK Pantomime Association (UKPA). These two actors were involved in a variety of popular scenes such as the 12 Days of Christmas and crisp themed outfits to earn their spot in the Best Sisters vote.

The UK Pantomime Association was first founded in 2021 and moves to celebrate a ‘popular family activity’ for a range of areas; such as creativity, community, and the unforgettable experience of live entertainment. The final awards will be decided on April 13 where supporters can hope the duo will receive further recognition for their great performing efforts.

They were also joined by Rhiannon Bacchus, Paul Burling, AJ Pritchard and Curtis Pritchard; all these names receiving praise for playing their part in a show that was described as being the “very best of panto”. The Globe were also invited to attend a show on December 22 and readers can explore our review of the performance by clicking on the online link.

The venue have furthermore released a variety of information about this 2025-26 pantomime season which is set to be created by Imagine Theatre and will tell the story of ‘Beauty & The Beast’. Early tickets are available for all shows from December 12 (Friday) until January 4 (Saturday), and should be purchased using: https://booking.trafalgartickets.com/.
