Organisers announce local return of popular organist
LOCAL RESIDENTS have been invited to attend a free afternoon of popular music later this month at Thorngate Halls as the event looks to continue recent successes at the venue; the occasion being organised by the Gosport & District Organ Club and will see a fan favourite return to the borough.
The event will take place on July 19 (Sunday) and will start promptly from 2pm with popular organist Cameron Lloyd at the console throughout. He is said to specialise in dance music and is well known for his performances across many venues throughout the country; whilst his last visit to Gosport was seven years ago.
Doors will open by 1:30pm for visitors and although there is no charge for entry, contributions are warmly appreciated upon exiting the show. A raffle has been organised with tickets to be purchased by visitors, whilst tea / coffee and full bar facilities will be available.
Car parking is further available on-site for a reasonable price, whilst the nearest bus stops are Gosport War Memorial or Bury Road with short walks for visitors from each. The full address is: Thorngate Halls, Bury Road, Gosport, PO12 3PX.
Organisers are hoping to build on a successful Buster Keaton event back in March where over 100 visitors enjoyed a showing of the Sherlock Junior silent classic; which was accompanied by Michael Wooldridge.
