Shopping Centre announces details of festive activities

By Connor Steel

FAREHAM SHOPPING CENTRE have invited local residents to attend three weekends of festive magic throughout the month of December as it builds up to Christmas; the organising team announcing details for all their events that are set to follow a similar format to others seen within the Town Centre this year like Easter, Mothering Sunday and Halloween.

Events will be held every Saturday and Sunday from December 2 to 17; the main attraction being a free Santa’s Grotto that can be found in Osborn Square (nearby B&M / Debenhams). Families are invited to visit Father Christmas and the “Chief Elf” from 11am to 4pm over the three weekends, where they will be given a special gift and offer holiday desires.

Different characters are scheduled to undertake walkabouts of the shopping centre which will start on December 2 with the Winter Fairy offering a glistering presence to shoppers. This will then be followed seven days later by elves and the ‘Goodo-meter’, a special tool that will help determine how visitors have behaved this year and will report back to Santa.

The festivities are due to conclude on December 16, and will see the Acrobatic Ice Elves in action as they glide through the mall to entertain visitors. All of the walkabout entertainment is scheduled to take place in 30-minute appearances at 11:30am, 12:30pm and 1:30pm on the three Saturdays, with all families and visitors urged to embrace this festive spirit.

Readers can find out further information about the ‘Christmas’ events and others by clicking on the Fareham Shopping Centre website, which further features a layout map of all stores and small businesses. Alternatively they can also visit social media platforms including their FacebookTwitter and Instagram, or contacting the dedicated team on this email.
