Bygone Years: Industries across Fareham

FAREHAM has a variety of natural and architectural landmarks to its name throughout years of history; some providing ‘vital support’ to the country’s industry such as the Funtley Brick Works and transportation in the case of Fareham Train Station. Other sectors from across this borough include finance, tourism, retail, hospitality, Government, and finally law.

In this weekly edition of Bygone Years, our Globe photographer Peter Maguire has been searching through his popular collection of historic and local photos to showcase these sectors within Fareham. These images cover scenes from the early 1900s and includes sites which remain functioning for residents in present day (credits to original photographers).
