Bygone Years: Snow across Gosport
THIS WEEK has seen temperatures rapidly dropping across Gosport with light snow showers across this area early on Monday evening; although it didn’t settle as forecast by the Met Office. It did however bring back memories of all winter scenes across the Borough this century including a 2008 snow storm, freeze of January 2010 and Beast from the East.
In this weekly edition of Bygone Years, our Globe photographer Peter Maguire has been searching through the popular collection of historical and recent local imagery to showcase multiple ‘snowy’ scenes across Gosport; which were all in the period of 1900s to 2010 and shows a variety of popular locations in the Borough (credits to original photographers).
