Bygone Years: Snow across Gosport

WITH temperatures dropping and weather charts showing the slim possibility of snow across Hampshire this weekend, it has brought back memories of winter scenes seen in Gosport over recent years. This includes a snow storm in 2008, the week long freeze of January 2010 and the Beast from the East in early March 2018.

But snow has been falling across Gosport throughout history and in this weekly edition of Bygone Years, our Globe photographer Peter Maguire has been looking through his huge collections of history local imagery to showcase winter scenes at various areas in the town from 1900 to 2010; in (credit to original photographers).
