Enquires launched after Fareham business burglary

HAMPSHIRE CONSTABULARY have announced they have launched an ‘urgent’ appeal for witnesses and information to boost their continuing investigations following a serious business burglary that occurred in Fareham at the beginning of this month; which caused criminal damage to the building and further saw its till initially stolen, alongside some cash.

Police were called at approximately 12:38am last Wednesday (October 1) to reports of a smashed store window at Hill Head Hair on Crofton Lane; the business located close to the junction with Carisbrooke Avenue. Upon attendance they also found that the till was taken from the salon, although this was later recovered including the money that was inside.

Detectives believe there could possibly be some witnesses to this burglary and have urged everybody to contact police if they have information or noticed any suspicious activities. This includes neighbours and drivers who could have used the area early last Wednesday; in particular those who may have CCTV, doorbell or dashcam videos from their vehicle.

Investigators are urging anybody with potential information to contact the police by calling their non-emergency number 101 and quote the case’s reference number of 44250443322. They can further submit details using the online reporting tool available on the Hampshire Police website, with all official support and further guidance available on the links here.

Alternatively, readers can contact the “independent charity” Crimestoppers 100% anonymously by calling 0800 555 111 for absolutely free; or via their anonymous online forms which can be found through their website: https://orlo.uk/250kR
