Fiona joins Thorngate as new care manager

THE Thorngate Churcher Trust has appointed Fiona Taylor as the new registered care manager at Russell Churcher Court, in Gosport.

Fiona joins Thorngate from her role as home manager at Dolphin Homes where she was instrumental in the introduction of technology to streamline and improve its nursing home operations.

She has a background in nursing having worked as a staff nurse for seven years and her previous roles also include care manager in a residential care home in Gosport.

“I am personally thrilled we have found someone of the calibre, enthusiasm, and experience of Fiona to lead the team in Russell Churcher Court,” said Thorngate chief executive Anne Taylor.

“Her experience both in the care home sector and nursing will be invaluable to us and our residents.”

Dementia

Fiona said she has been made to feel extremely welcome by the staff and residents at Russell Churcher Court.

“There is such a great, experienced team here and I’m looking forward to building on the tremendous work they have already done,” she said.

“It’s such a great time of year to be joining Thorngate with everyone looking forward to a packed calendar of Christmas activities.”

Thorngate Churcher Trust is a modern charitable registered social landlord, offering independent assisted living and residential care from three sites in Gosport.

It operates 124 sheltered flats for assisted living, all with 24-hour warden support, and a 44-bed Russell Churcher Court which offers residential care for older people including those living with dementia.
