Ghoulish and ghostly happenings at Fort Nelson

IN THE underground tunnels and chambers of Fort Nelson there will be ghoulish and ghostly happenings next week in the run-up to Halloween.

A Victorian storyteller will be wandering around the Portsdown Hill Road fort with spooky tales at the ready to entertain and mystify during half-term week – from October 25 to 29.

Children will also be encouraged to explore the 150-year-old fort by following a Halloween trail with ghosts and creepy creatures hidden around the museum.

Tickets cost £3.50 per child (5 – 12 years old) and sessions can be booked at https://bit.ly/3moygoY

Entry to Fort Nelson, the grounds and ramparts, and its Royal Armouries’ collection of artillery is free but in these Covid-19 times visitors are asked to book site tickets at https://bit.ly/3AbxZe1
