Portchester snapper nominated for award

AFC PORTCHESTER’S official club photographer Daniel Haswell has been shortlisted for a huge national award in the Non-League Bible Awards, with the Royals’ faithful canvassing for votes as the young cameraman hopes to beat nineteen other candidates to capture top prize at the competition.

The sixteen-year old student from Fareham College is one of the youngest photographers across the non-league scene, producing most of the images that appear on the Portchester club website, social media platforms and in home matchday programmes throughout the season.

And his outstanding work has paid off in the shape of a nomination for the ‘Best Non-League Photographer’ alongside others such as Nashy Photography and Mr Ripley Photography. These were confirmed on Monday (March 28) and the award has been sponsored by SocialSports Manager.

Following the nominations Portchester staff, players and fans are asking for the local football communities to support their popular photographer by registering votes online via the Non-League Bible website; although it is not known when voting closes or the date for any awards ceremonies.

Non-League Bible is a prominent network that highlighting news from multiple levels of the English football pyramid, being followed by thousands of followers across the countries with these awards held every year; the 2022 edition having nineteen different categories across the voting page.

Other highlights include Best Club Admin / Content Creator, Best Non-League Footballer, Best Non-League Manager, Club of the Year, Best Podcast and Best Small Business. There are also awards for the Best Women’s Football Club and Best Women’s Content Creator with votes able to be cast for all.
