Royals publicise 2023-24 season ticket details

By Connor Steel

AFC PORTCHESTER have announced important information about season tickets for their 2023-24 Wessex Premier Division campaign due to start in August; the club hoping to build upon record crowds seen last year at the On-Site Group Stadium as they narrowly missed out on Southern League promotion in the final fixture.

The club gained their ‘highest average’ attendance last season with a total of 450+ supporters watching each league game; topping the statistics above nineteen other teams. This includes smashing the ‘league records’ when 1,598 fans watched the derby versus Fareham in January, which ended in an easy four-one home win.

Dave Carter’s outfit are hot favourites to gain a promotion from the Wessex Premier next campaign following disappointment back in late April against Bemerton Health Harlequins. And they will be hoping for longer cup runs in ‘national’ competitions compared to those seen in recent seasons; including the FA Vase and FA Cup.

And all fans are invited to start their preparations early by purchasing a season ticket; which will help them to attend nineteen league matches alongside occasional knockout ties held at the On-Site Group Stadium. The ticket can also be used to watch women’s first team home league games; mostly held on Sunday afternoons.

Anybody who purchased season tickets during the 2022-23 campaign can be eligible for a special ‘early bird’ renewal, which has been priced at £75 per adult and is worked out as costing £3.95 each game. Concession tickets are set at £40 for a variety of groups; including over-sixties, health staff, and Armed Forces personnel.

The offer will expire on July 15 and customers must then follow the same price bracket as those buying their season tickets for the first time; an adult ticket costing £90 and concession passes priced at £50. All holders will receive a ten percent discount across the club bars located at the On-Site Group Stadium on matchdays.

Youngsters aged between sixteen and eighteen years old should buy a concession tickets, whilst under-16s are able to watch home matches for no cost if they are accompanied by an adult. This is part of the initiative from club management to entice younger audiences and create a new generation of Portchester supporters.

Season tickets can be purchased via the club website with individual tabs for new and existing season ticket holders, although customers may need a Pitchero account to complete their payments. This would allow any member of staff to contact any customers if there are any issues with purchasing or distributing of the tickets.

The fixtures for the Wessex League are scheduled to be released in the coming weeks with a number of pre-season friendly ties being organised by teams. So far Portchester have confirmed two matches at the Draper Tools Community Stadium, first playing Camberley Town FC before facing Havant & Waterlooville on July 22.
