Bygone Years: Leisure across Fareham

FAREHAM is a popular location for leisure seekers with multiple activities to enjoy across the borough, featuring a very beautiful selection of coastal walks and historical areas. This town further has cinemas, shopping centres, pubs, hotels, swimming pools, and other leisure venues that were created in various eras through its journey since the ‘Middle Ages’.

In this weekly edition of Bygone Years, our Globe photographer Peter Maguire has been searching through the popular collections of historic and recent local imagery to help showcase the borough’s range of leisure ‘heritage’ over a twenty one year period; including shops, coastal, and nature scenes across the entire area (credits to original photographers).
