College enjoy encouraging 2024 A-Level results
ST VINCENT COLLEGE are celebrating another encouraging set of A-Level results after they were announced across the country on Thursday morning (August 15); with students being praised by Executive Principal Andy Grant for their hard work over the academic year.
It was confirmed that 42.9% of all students had achieved A* to C grades in three or more subjects, whilst 27.1% secured A* to B grades using the same measurement. The college is also expanding its A Level offer this year to enable more young people across the region to benefit from high quality academic provision on their doorstep.
The college further saw excellent results in creative arts subjects as a hundred percent achieved A* to E in Art & Design Contextual Studies and sixty percent received a grade of A* to B. Photography and Graphics saw one hundred percent of students earn a grade from A* to E, whilst a total of 60 percent achieved B grades or above in Photography for this year’s work.
Results were just as successful for those studying BTEC Vocational Level 3 subjects as ninety-two percent of students achieved a Distinction* to Pass; which included 100% in Human Biology, Applied Law, Esports, Health & Social Care, Music & Music Production and IT at CTEC.
Mr Grant said: “I’m delighted for the students who have worked so hard and seen that pay off. Here at St Vincent we have the commitment to support students so that they are ready to achieve what they want in life and we are dedicated to ensuring that they do the very best that they can. As always, we are delighted with the performance of all our students and they can be proud of what they have accomplished.”
But he continued to state that the college was on hand to help any student who didn’t get the grades they were expecting, saying: “We are very keen to support any student needing help with the University Clearing process and they must not hesitate to get in touch with us over the coming days and weeks if they need to.”
St Vincent College are still accepting applications for the new academic year, which is due to start in early September after an enrolment period later this month. Readers can find out more information about the college and its courses by visiting www.stvincent.ac.uk.
