Driver altercation sparks Fareham police appeal

HAMPSHIRE CONSTABULARY have announced they have launched an “urgent” appeal for witnesses and information to support their continuing investigation following a traffic related incident in Fareham over the weekend; which saw two unidentified car drivers involved in a “physical altercation” near to the Longfield Avenue and Newgate Lane roundabout.

It is reported that the incident occurred between the times of 4:30pm and 5pm on February 10 (Saturday) with the early enquiries helping to establish the two vehicles involved; a Mercedes Viano and Volvo XC90. At the time of writing there is no information about either driver, although they exited their vehicles and were seen in the altercation before leaving.

Police believe there was multiple people in the vicinity of this incident and surrounding areas around this time who may have witnessed the incident; as well as before and afterwards. This includes those who were walking and driving in the immediate area; with any useful information and dash cam footage from vehicles all welcomed by investigating officers.
