E-Fit imagery released after Fareham assault

HAMPSHIRE CONSTABULARY have confirmed they have released e-fit imagery of a man they hope to identify as part of their continuing investigation into an incident that occurred in Fareham late last month, which saw a male in his fifties sustain both a fractured cheekbone and eye socket after he was involved in an ‘unprovoked’ assault from another man.

The assault is reported to have taken place at an address in Blackbrook Road between the ‘timeframe’ of 10:15pm and 10:30pm on Christmas Eve (December 24); this victim requiring “medical treatment” for the injuries. Officers are further continuing to establish full circumstances of the attack and are hoping to speak to the 2nd male who isn’t yet identified.

Detectives released the e-fit image on Tuesday and shows a man with short hair, whilst wearing a black T-shirt as seen here. They have asked anybody who may recognise the man to come forward to help their enquires alongside all those who were in the surrounding areas or local residents who could have witnessed this incident / the immediate aftermath.

Investigators are asking for people with any fresh information to contact officers by calling their non-emergency number 101 and quote the case’s reference number of 44230524782. They can further submit details using the online reporting tool available on the Hampshire Police website, with all official support and further guidance available on the links here.

Alternatively, readers can contact the “independent charity” Crimestoppers 100% anonymously by calling 0800 555 111 for absolutely free; or via their anonymous online forms which can be found through their website: https://orlo.uk/250kR
