Fareham to hold ‘intergalactic’ half term event
By Connor Steel
FAREHAM SHOPPING CENTRE have encouraged visitors to become ‘intergalactic’ as they announced their free space themed events for the upcoming half term holidays in February; hoping to showcase many breath taking ‘out of this world’ sights of our solar system to children using interactive and entertaining methodology.
An in-centre planetarium will be located in Osborn Square, nearby B&M and Debenhams, for just three days from February 16 to 18 (Thursday-Saturday); free galaxy shows being held every 30 minutes between 11am and 2:30pm. This is said to be a movie experience for those involved, visually showcasing our solar system.
Staff will further be hosting a colouring competition aimed at young children, with the winner receiving a £100 gift voucher for use at many of the participating shopping centre stores in Fareham. More detail can be given by speaking to ‘astronauts’ at the event, whilst downloadable entry forms can be printed online from this link.
The shopping centre is lastly offering a free child’s meal voucher for everybody who attends this planetarium during the three day event, which can be used at popular pizzeria Three Joes. However this deal can only be validated with the purchase of an adults meal whilst the full terms and conditions do apply to all transactions.
Mike Taylor, Centre Manager for Fareham Shopping Centre, commented: “We are all so excited to bring this intergalactic experience to Fareham Shopping Centre during the school holidays. Our previous events have proved such a success with children in the area, so we’re thrilled to host some fun throughout the half-term.”
Readers can find out more information about this free event and others by clicking on the Fareham Shopping Centre website, which further features a layout map of all stores and small businesses.
