Holly joins Globe team as new chief ‘snapper’

THE GOSPORT & FAREHAM GLOBE is delighted to announce that Holly Mason has joined the editorial team as our Chief Photographer, already producing some amazing shots from the local elections count, the Gosport Mayor Making Ceremony, and the launch of Hub4Stuff in Bridgemary.

A graduate of Manchester University, she is a professional photographer with more than 10 years of experience behind the camera. It which includes snaps from popular music gigs, landscape scenes and portraits. On her website she also offers a series of offers to happy couples for weddings across a range of different packages.

Holly joins the small but talented volunteering team behind the Globe and has already worked alongside the Editor, Robin Young, at events that took place in May, alongside providing brilliant images for written articles / editorial material from Chief Correspondent Rob Thomas, Assistant Editor / Graphic Designer Connor Steel and Advertising Specialist Kevin Richards.

In an email sent to the team on Saturday morning the Globe editor wrote: “I’m delighted to tell you that Holly Mason has accepted my invitation to take on the role of chief photographer for the Globe.

“Holly’s work has been of a consistently high standard and she will be available to cover markings whenever her other duties permit. It has been three years since we last had a professional of her calibre on board and I’m sure that you will join me in welcoming Holly to the editorial team.”

As well as becoming an official member of the team, Holly has been capturing the stormy weather seen across the South Coast over recent days and sent in a photograph she took of lightning illuminating the night sky above Gosport. Readers can enjoy the dramatic image shown here and look forward to more to come from Holly in the coming months.
