Thorngate in seasonal mood for Christmas Fayre
GOSPORT’S main community entertainment hub, the Thorngate Halls in Bury Road, is getting into the festive spirit with the return of its traditional and popular Christmas Fayre this upcoming Sunday, December 5.
Organised by the Gosport Community Association, the event features 37 tables of arts, crafts, festive products and bric-a-brac in the ballroom. Members of the Globe team will also be at the fayre throughout the day.
Admission is free and the Fayre runs from 11am until 3pm, with food, refreshments and drinks all available on the premises. This includes coffee, teas, crisps and chocolate with potential for some Christmas related snacks.
As seen at similar events a raffle will also be held with tickets available; although there is no information about prizes. And there will further be a treat in store for the younger family members in attendance!
Parking will also be available to every visitor in the car park behind Thorngate Halls, with a discounted rate of £2 for the whole day. Major bus routes from Gosport and Fareham will also provide access for those hopeful for a Christmas bargain.
The full poster for this Christmas Fayre can be seen here and on the Gosport Community Association Facebook Page. Further events to be held at Thorngate Halls include regular quiz nights and live entertainment, with more information available on the above links.
