Shopping centre announces spring activity weekends
By Connor Steel
FAREHAM SHOPPING CENTRE will be hosting three weekends of spring activities for all the family during the month of March, which will build on the success of their recent Dino Adventure event during half term last week that saw hundreds of visitors enjoy the activities.
All activities are free to visitors and are currently scheduled to be held in Osborn Square, located down by the Works and B&M, with no bookings or timeslots needed to attend. Activities are due to last between 11am and 3pm on weekends between March 5-20, being run on both Saturdays and Sundays.
Starting tomorrow week one will be based around floristry workshops; allowing customers to learn the art of floristry and can take any mini creations home with them. The flowers and other equipment will be supplied by the organisers across both days.
On week two (March 12-13) the town centre will be hosting their own circus workshop with fun promised to all involved. Organisers have said the sessions will be engaging and a variety of new skills can be tried by everybody over the weekend, regardless of their age and ability.
The third and final activity weekend will see visitors enjoy a gifts workshop in the run up to Mother’s Days; budding artists having the opportunity to create personalised painted canvas pictures to give their special person for the celebrations on March 27.
Mike Taylor, Centre Manager at Fareham Shopping Centre, commented: “Following on from the success of our half term Dino Adventure and the positive feedback we received, we wanted to continue bringing as many free activities as we can to the centre. Fareham Shopping Centre is situated at the heart of the community and are excited to bring three weekends of free activities for our customers to enjoy”.
Executive Leader of Fareham Borough Council, Cllr Seán Woodward, added: “We are pleased to support the spring events at Fareham Shopping Centre this March. These events not only encourage Fareham residents back to our local shops, supporting our ‘live, love, local’ campaign, but also provide fun activities for residents and their children”.
For more information on these activity weekends; readers are asked to visit the Fareham Shopping Centre website or explore their social media platforms Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
