Healing Hub meetings to continue over the summer
MONTHLY meetings of the Christian group that offers a confidential listening ear to people who are experiencing challenging times will continue over the summer.
Gosport Healing Hub will be in St. Faith’s Church, Tribe Road, Gosport PO12 3NS, between 2.30pm and 4.30 pm on Saturdays August 6th and September 3rd.
The hub is part of the Acorn Christian Healing Foundation’s national scheme and as well as a listening ear, it offers prayer and support to anyone who is suffering stress and anxiety.
Hub organiser Diana Dow said: “We have found that we see many different people with a wide variety of needs. Some come because they are unwell; perhaps they come with a life-threatening condition for which there is no more medical treatment and who are in need of prayer.
“Others have long term conditions which are hard for them to cope with, or maybe they are experiencing difficult relationships.
“There are mental or spiritual reasons to come for prayer too, perhaps there is anxiety or depression or maybe a temptation that is hard to resist.
“Perhaps there is nervousness about an exam or a job interview that is coming up. Perhaps a member of the family or a much-loved friend has died and comfort is needed.”
The meetings are in an Anglican church but the group stresses that all are welcome.
